Ramapo Country Day Camp approached Arboreal Edge with a vision for a new team area designed to captivate their older campers, who are passionate about the camp's creative ropes team and program. Our collaborative effort resulted in an innovative two-layer, walk-on high ropes system seamlessly integrated into the hillside, providing quick access and allowing participants to select their level of challenge.

Our team at Arboreal Edge focused on creating a dynamic and versatile course that would meet the diverse needs of the camp’s older campers. The two-layer design allows for simultaneous use by multiple groups, enhancing the overall experience and ensuring efficient use of space. Campers can easily enter the course from the hillside, minimizing wait times and maximizing their time on the elements.

Central to the course is a 36-element smart belayed system. This advanced belaying technology ensures maximum safety and ease of use, making it ideal for campers of varying skill levels. The course offers a range of challenges, from beginner-friendly elements to more advanced obstacles, enabling campers to push their limits and build confidence in a controlled environment.

One of the standout features of the course is the quick flight station, which provides an exhilarating experience for thrill-seekers. Campers can test their courage and enjoy the rush of the descent. Additionally, the course includes a zipline exit, offering a fun and memorable way to end their high ropes adventure.

The project was a true partnership, with Arboreal Edge and Ramapo Country Day Camp working closely together to ensure the final design met all of their goals. The new high ropes system not only adds a unique and exciting dimension to the camp's offerings but also reinforces its commitment to providing innovative and engaging activities for its campers.

The feedback from the campers has been overwhelmingly positive. The new team area has quickly become a favorite among the older campers, who appreciate the variety of challenges and the opportunity to engage in high ropes activities that are both fun and rewarding.
