Andy and his team approached Arboreal Edge with the vision of expanding their already impressive ropes program. They wanted to introduce new elements and revamp existing ones to provide a more comprehensive and engaging experience for participants. Our mission was clear: to enhance their program while seamlessly integrating with their existing course.

To achieve this, we first assessed the current course layout and identified areas for expansion. By strategically adding a few additional poles, we were able to introduce new elements without overwhelming the existing structure. This careful planning ensured that the expanded course would maintain a cohesive flow and allow participants to navigate through the various activities smoothly.

One of the major additions was a rock climbing wall. This feature brought a whole new dimension to the program, providing participants with the opportunity to develop climbing skills, build physical strength, and challenge themselves in new ways. The climbing wall was designed to accommodate different skill levels, ensuring that both beginners and experienced climbers could benefit from the experience.

We also introduced a smart belay course to enhance safety and efficiency. This advanced belay system is designed to automatically manage the ropes, reducing the risk of human error and allowing participants to focus on enjoying the activities. The smart belay course includes a variety of elements, from easy-to-navigate routes for beginners to more challenging obstacles for advanced participants. This variety ensures that everyone can find a suitable challenge and progress at their own pace.

Additionally, we revamped the dynamic belayed section of the course. This involved updating the existing elements to ensure they met the highest safety standards and adding new dynamic challenges to keep participants engaged and excited. The dynamic belayed section now includes a range of activities that test balance, coordination, and teamwork, providing a well-rounded ropes course experience.

Throughout the project, our team worked closely with Andy and his staff to ensure that the final design met their specific needs and goals. The result is an expanded and enhanced ropes course that offers a diverse range of activities, promotes safety, and provides participants with a thrilling and rewarding experience.
